Sun and Google are expected to announce on Tuesday a “collaboration” to bring StarOffice productivity applications to Google users. StarOffice is Sun’s suite of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing and database software based upon the OpenOffice open source project. Additional details here. Very interesting. Combined with Google’s wireless plans, things are really heating up. What next?
Update: Hmm, it does in fact include Sun’s office suite, but doesn’t appear to be as broad as originally anticipated…
